Fantasy Film Wings

Things you will need to get started:

  1. Fantasy Film
  2. Angelina Fibres
  3. Scissors
  4. 2 different pincers (you can see them on the picture below)
  5. Glue
  6. Glitter
  7. Wire
  8. Soldering Gun

First step:

Imagine your desired wing pattern and cut the wire into the desired shape.

Next glue the wires together and wait, for the glue to dry.

On the picture above you can see, that I folded the ends of the wires to little circles.

Second step:

Take your fantasy film and cut it to 4 equal pieces; you will need two of them for each wing.

Third step:

For this step you will need, the iron and some cotton kitchen patch. Preheat the iron to silk temperature. Now place the patch to the grounding and place a piece of fantasy film on it. Then take one wing and place in on top of the film. Now take some angelina fibres and place them on the wing (second picture), next take the other film piece and place it on the top (third picture). When you have everything in place, cover it with the patch and iron it carefully. Remember, the more you iron it, the more colour is going to change. Do the same thing for the other wing.

Fourth step:

You have now something, that look slike this (first picture below). Take you scissors and cut away the redundant fantasy film (second picture).

Fifth step:

Take the soldering gun and make some holes into the wings. (You can also use a candle here, but I recommend the soldering gun because of the thickness of the wings.)

Sixth step:

Take the glue and heap it up where the veins of the wings are, then apply some glitter.

In the end you should have something looking like this:

Hope I helped you a little bit? Use your imagination to appply some other things like feathers, glitter, ...

Enjoy!
